FALADE, Olumuyiwa Sunday, PhD.

Olumuyiwa Falade bagged his first degree from Ondo State University, now University of Ado-Ekiti, Ado-Ekiti, Nigeria in 1987. He then moved to Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, where he obtained both his M.Sc and PhD degrees in 1993 and 2004, respectively.

He joined the services of the Department of Chemistry, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife in 1995 as an Assistant Lecturer. Prof. Falade currently serves as the Chairman of the Quality Control Committee of the Department alongside being a member of several important committees.

He is a member of American Association of Cereal Chemist (AACC International) USA, Society of Chemical Industry (SCI) London, UK, and Chemical Society of Nigeria.

Area of Specialisation / Research Interest:

1. Electrophoretic pattern of water soluble and insoluble proteins in three provenances of Acacia tumida seeds.
2. Chemical composition and nutritional studies of water melon seed and oil.
3. Physicochemical properties of some underexploited oil seeds
