Profile: Dr. S. O. Famuyiwa is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife where he obtained his B.Sc. and M.Sc. (Organic Chemistry) in 1997 and 2005 respectively. He obtained his PhD (Chemistry) at the University of Botswana, Gaborone, Botswana in 2013 in the areas of Phytochemistry.
His research interest is in Chemistry and Biological activities of plants with anti-bacterial, anti-oxidant activities and plants that are used in the control of malaria and in the treatment of diabetes. He has supervised a quiet and reasonable number of undergraduate and postgraduate students in these areas of research interest. He has published a quiet number of articles from local and international Journals.
