Festus Taiwo obtained his first and second degrees from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, viz., B.Sc. (Ed.) Chemistry (2001), M.Sc. Chemistry (2007) and PhD. (2016) in the Chemistry Department, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. Dr. Taiwo joined the services of the Chemistry Department in 2006.
