Short Bio, Academic, and Research Activities:

Professor Oyekunle J. A. O. holds B.Sc. (Ed), M.Sc. and Ph.D. Degrees in Chemistry of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. As a versatile analytical/environmental chemist, his research activities include analysis of soil, water, air, food and other biological samples with emphasis on determination of physicochemical parameters, trace organics (organochlorine pesticides, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, polychloro biphenyls etc), potentially toxic elements and radionuclide contents of samples of interest. His research group has also developed method that can mop up the xenobiotics from some environmental samples. His interest is extended to biodiesel development using non-conventional seed oils. So far, he has completed supervising 10 PhD, 27 MSc and numerous BSc candidates. He has about 117 publications in highly reputable and visible national and international journals of high impact factors.
