Profile:
Dr. L.O. Olasunkanmi got his B.Sc. (Hons) degree in Chemistry with a First Class from Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, Nigeria in 2007. He got his M.Sc. degree in Chemistry also from OAU in 2012. He got his Ph.D. in 2016 from North-West University, South Africa. His area of specialization is Physical Chemistry. He has shown special interests in corrosion inhibition studies where he applies principles of electrochemistry and computational chemistry to investigate the corrosion inhibition potentials of different compounds (mainly organic compounds). His works on corrosion inhibition studies are always detailed with experimental and computational quantum chemical and molecular dynamics simulation studies. He also researches on quantum chemical studies for molecular and electronic structure determination, molecular properties prediction, relative reactivity and stability of molecules, as well as inter- and intra-molecular interactions.
He is available and ready to train postgraduate students in Physical Chemistry.
